Article Summary

Mobileforce FSM allows you to upload electronic versions of maintenance or warranty contracts, and any other files, and associate them with the Mobileforce FSM contract entries. Other files may include product collateral such as data sheets, or product installation/repair guides, as well as specific service actions to perform on products as a part of a warranty or a maintenance contract. In addition, other files are also used by the technician to record the product being serviced via photos and upload these photos. The file entries table allows dispatchers and agents to access the contracts for review or auditing purposes, as well as to see the photos that the technician took at the customer premise.

Mobileforce displays the File entries section on both the Maintenance Contract or Warranty Contract pages, allowing you to review all of the files uploaded for the contract.

Additionally, you can click the image238 button to open the table in its own window.

To add a new document, do one of the following:

  • Click the image236 button from the Files section of a contract page.
  • Click the image26 button from the Files page.

Specify the following information and click Create:

  • Parent Object Type:
    This is set to either MaintenanceContract or WarrantyContract.
  • Parent:
    Lists the name of the contract entry associated with the file.
  • File Title or Description:
    Enter the title of the file or describe its contents.

To upload a file, click the Upload New button to select a local file from your computer and click OK.
