Using Mobileforce you can create proposal documents, such as initial quotes and final proposals (for signature). These documents are based on existing documentation templates and automatically populate the documents with data from the proposal. Once created, documents can be downloaded and and sent to customers for confirmation or signature.
Based on your business model, you can create these documents at any time, but typically these document are created when the proposal is complete, has been approved (if necessary), and signed by the associated sales rep.
To create proposal documentation, click the Generated Docs tab for the desired proposal, and then click the Generate Document button.
The Select a Document Template page is displayed where you can double-click the desired template to select it to create your proposal document.
Document Templates are typically created during installation/implementation of Mobileforce CPQ, typically by users with Admin privileges. These templates are based on formats included with Mobileforce CPQ. For more information about creating these templates, see Adding or Editing Document Templates.
Review the Generate Doc poage to confirm the information to be included in the document. The generated document is added to the Generated Docs tab.
Managing Proposal Documents
From the Generate Docs tab, you can manage documents that have already been generated:
- Click
to view the document in your web browser.
- Click
to download the document to your local computer.
- Click
to delete the proposal document.
