Managing Service Task Parts

Article Summary

Required parts are any parts or equipment required to complete the associated service task. These parts are typically specified when Agents create the associated service task, or when the service task is updated by Dispatchers. When reviewing their Service Tasks, Technicians are to ensure that any listed parts are available when visiting the customer location.

Mobileforce displays the Required Parts section on the Service Task page, allowing you to review and manage the required parts for the task in tabular format.

To add a new Service Task Part, do one of the following:

  • Click the image236 button from the Required Parts section of the Service Task page.
  • Click the image26 button from the Service Task Part Requirements.

Specify the following information and click Create:

  • Service Task:
    The service task associated with the current part.
  • Inventory:
    Click the drop-down list to select the desired part from the Inventory table. For more information, see Creating and Managing Inventory Items.
  • Name:
    Name of the specified part from the Inventory table. This is automatically populated when you select the part from the Inventory drop-down list.
  • Quantity:
    Enter the number of the specified parts required to complete the associated service task.
